Google Mine
Google+ just released a brand new “wish list” for users, called Google Mine. This feature helps you keep track of items that you currently own, or those which you’d like to own in the future. Users can catalog their belongings and receive recommendations from Google about products they might be interested in, based on what they have on their list. Sounds dangerously delicious for online shopaholics.

With the scavenger hunt running through July 31st, visitors that check into each location will receive $5 off a MoMa ticket. Happy hunting!
Facebook Patches a Data Leak
Due to a data leak, Facebook inadvertently exposed six million users’ phone numbers and email addresses to unauthorized viewers since 2012. Users’ information that was routinely used to recommend friends was accidentally included in their own contact details. Therefore, whenever an archive of their Facebook account was downloaded, one also downloaded their friends’ public and private emails and phone numbers. Upon learning of the mishap last week, Facebook patched it within 24 hours, stressing that there is no evidence that the leaked data was maliciously exploited. Get the deets here.
“DVR mode” for Twitter
Twitter is looking to improve on curating moments from live-tweeting events to make the platform much easier to navigate. CEO Dick Costolo hinted about introducing a “DVR mode” feature to help filter conversations happening around events, both during and after the fact. This will improve on the ability to track and monitor updates, while also giving users the option of catching up on what they might have missed.
LinkedIn Provides More Activity Insights
