Recently, a crazy idea was bestowed upon me. With little direction and a whole lot of ambition, I created a digital pair of forgiving eyewear for the viewing pleasure of Internet-goers everywhere.Presenting: Beer Goggles, a Chrome extension that lets you get virtually tipsy to surf the web and see the world in a whole new light. Drink up.

Putting on the goggles

All you have to do is grab the extension from the Chrome Web Store and click the little bottle to don the goggles. Poof! Like magic, every face detected on a website will look...well...notably more attractive — no alcohol required. Download it to see the transformation for yourself!

Under the lid

The extension relies on Facedetection.js to locate any faces on the page, then overlays the lovely mugs of some of the most conventionally captivating celebs I could think of. For the tinkerers, I’ve made the entire source available on GitHub for you to pick apart.
