Hard Rock + PRPL

This is officially the closest we'll ever get to being rock stars. We're jazzed to announce that Hard Rock Orlando has called PRPL to the stage to breathe new life into their iconic Rock Wall platform. Installed in Hard Rock locations around the globe, the Rock Wall is a multi-user, multi-touch interactive experience that showcases over a thousand rock memorabilia items from every Hard Rock location. Guests can explore the world-famous Hard Rock memorabilia collection with a swipe and a tap on a giant touch screen.It’s now up to PRPL to conceptualize fresh ideas for their application. With increasing competition and a huge legacy to live up to, Hard Rock looks to create a guest experience like no other.They've put the spotlight on us because of our passion for innovative technology, and we’ve eagerly kicked off the partnership with UX strategy, with plans to overhaul the design and implement new features. This project is managed in an agile workflow, and we’ll continue to roll out more phases throughout the rest of the year.
What can you look forward to?
We’re transforming the Rock Wall into an interactive experience for guests to immerse themselves in the musical culture, right before sinking their teeth into that classic Hard Rock burger. How will we catch guests attention as they pass through Hard Rock’s famously fascinating lobbies? The home screen will display a variety of content, like upcoming concerts and quirky trivia about rock-'n'-roll’s storied history. Visitors will soon be able to choose the next song on the jukebox, snap a picture in the photo booth, and get to know the staff and their favorite local spots. Most importantly, Hard Rock’s impressive memorabilia catalog is just a swipe away. So guests can geek out over their VIP collectibles from around the globe.Integrated with the current content management system Vizergy and collection management software The Museum System, the application is easy for all stakeholders to update and manage content. That way, admins can keep up with every menu item, event, and article of Elvis’ clothing.

The souped-up Rock Wall will make its debut in every Hard Rock Cafe and Hard Rock Hotel around the world over in the coming months. In the meantime, we’re refining the application with thorough QA testing and extensive user interviews so this baby is pitch perfect. Our team is ecstatic to partner with Hard Rock to help integrate more advanced technology into the restaurant experience. You could say we sing a pretty sweet duet.
