Launched: Davidoff Cigars
Back in August, we vied for and secured the official title of digital agency of record for luxury brand Davidoff. This week, we're lifting the curtain on the completely revamped Davidoff.com and continuing into the next phase of our blooming relationship.So what happened between then and now? Having worked on the digital semblance of parent company, Oettinger Davidoff, and several subsidiary brands, such as Camacho Cigars, we were no strangers to their product and standard of excellence. (But it was an adjustment with the six-hour time difference to their headquarters in Switzerland!)We kicked off the Davidoff Cigars project at the end of September, with the scope including top-to-bottom digital strategy, user experience (UX) design, content strategy, and development. The new site features a clean, gridded design and rich copy to convey the brand's sophisticated character. And for you nerds, it's built on the Expression Engine CMS, which we recommended as the best scalable solution to meet their needs. That'll make their lives easier with single sign-on to manage multiple sites that will come into play.We've also had the pleasure of getting to work directly with their branding agencies in London (DewGibbons and Johnny Fearless) to bring Davidoff's brand voice, look, and marketing campaigns into the digital atmosphere.Our digital partnership with the cigar kingpin has already spawned many other ventures within the Davidoff brand, including e-commerce sites for flagship stores, social media strategy and management, and a slew of other projects.
