Twinkies are Back!
Hostess has rolled out the social media red carpet for this delicious treat. With a full-blown marketing campaign, the brand has been encouraging users to share their love for Twinkies and other Hostess snacks that make a comeback to stores today. The campaign is called “The Sweetest Comeback in the History of Ever,” and social media fans have been showing their “Cake Face” off on Instagram and Vine posts. Check out the full campaign here.
Insta-Everywhere
Websites can now embed Instagram photos and videos directly into their own content. That means blogs, news providers, and websites can now employ these fashionably filtered gems into their articles, home pages, or elsewhere. Facebook has introduced this new tool in an effort to expand Instagram’s influence and attract more users to the social media platform.
Vine Retaliates
Vine is rolling out a flock of new features, such as camera tools, channels for video posting, new ways of discovering popular videos, and a share function called “revining.” Do you think these new features are enough to give Vine the advantage? Learn more, or just let the numbers speak for themselves.
I’d +1 That
Google+ announced that it will start highlighting posts that people in your circles have +1’d, directly in your feed. In a similar fashion to Facebook, your friends’ pictures will be displayed directly above the posts, making them that much easier to spot. Now, discovering popular content amongst your networks will be as effortless as floating down the news stream. Read the article here.
